A boardroom lunch held by Zurich recently on behalf of the Special Olympics Sydney Upper North Shore (SOSUNS) with brokers
and their clients raised nearly $12,000, which will go towards helping three local athletes represent Australia in the 2011 Special
Olympics World Summer Games to be held in Athens.
The event was the idea of Nick Cook, Zurich General Insurance’s National Intermediary Distribution Manager, who is also a member
of SOSUNS.
“I approached my Manager, Sam San Filippo, and General Insurance CEO, Shane Doyle. They generously offered to support the lunch by covering the costs and allowing the broker’s donations to go directly to Special Olympics,” says Cook.
