The NIBA College Mentoring Program is on the look out for inspirational individuals within the industry to join with them to help motivate and develop our YPs.
The goal of the program is to give YPs the fullest possible understanding of the issues facing our industry and a supportive environment that will motivate and assist them in both their personal and professional development.
Mentors accepted on to the program are matched with YP mentees to take part in a 12-week program of structured sessions and one-on-one contact time.
Linda Evans, NIBA's Professional Development Executive, has seen the program reinvigorate numerous YPs and is in no doubt as to its worth to the industry.
'A lot of our mentees find that working with someone who is interested in them and their career, but who isn't their boss or direct colleague, is very motivating and has helped them renew their enthusiasm for their jobs,' she said.
If you think you would be interested in mentoring our YPs, the only condition is that mentors are able to find sufficient time to commit to the full program. To find out full details of the Mentoring Program, click here.
