Nominations are now open for the 2012 Warren Tickle Memorial Award – the most prestigious commendation in the industry for brokers under the age of 35.
Since 1990, the Warren Tickle Memorial Award has been recognising the achievements of young insurance brokers who exhibit an outstanding level of professionalism and integrity.
Sponsored by Vero, the trophy is awarded in honour of Warren Tickle – the former insurance Commissioner who was responsible for the implementation of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act 1984.
The winner of the award is selected from five finalists who are chosen as the Young Professional (YP) of the year in their region. State winners attend a personal development workshop in Sydney and the NIBA Convention where the overall winner is announced. Prizes include a trip to London including two economy airfares, five nights’ accommodation, a three-day educational program to experience the international insurance market and spending money. Last years’ winner was Luke Goss, State Manager for Blue Broking in WA.

In addition, they must have completed the Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) and have spent a minimum of three of the last five years in Australia.
Interested candidates need to provide a submission showing evidence of exceptional service in the Insurance Broking industry, demonstrating commitment to personal development and teamwork. Submissions must be in by COB on Friday 27 April 2012.
