Vero has presented Coca-Cola Amatil Limited (CCA) with the RMAdvancer Achievement Award for the company’s improved protection, management and safety systems.

The Awards acknowledge the identification and resolution of hazards, the role played by senior management and the success of plans for continuous monitoring and evaluation of risks.
CCA's Kewdale site in Perth, WA, won the award for its work, which included extensions to the fixed automatic sprinkler system, the development of a unique Change Management procedure and safer storage of flammable liquids and aerosols.
CCA’s Kewdale site in Perth, WA, won the award for its work, which included extensions to the fixed automatic sprinkler system, the development of a unique Change Management procedure and safer storage of flammable liquids and aerosols.
The extension to the sprinkler system has reduced the risk of fire damage to the site’s critical water treatment plant. The newly developed Change Management System is also recognised as industry best practice and will help reduce risk at an early stage.
A number of sites are targeted each year for inspection and a risk assessment conducted by a Vero Risk Engineering representative with assistance from CCA Site and Risk & Insurance and Aon personnel. This grades the site by benchmarking hazards and the risk control systems that are in place to manage them. High-level risk summaries are also prepared by Vero for each site for use in prioritising possible capital expenditure.
