More than 30 of the General Insurance industry's future leaders have thrown their hats as QBE Insurance's eQuip program for 2011 draws to a close and welcomes the next wave of budding elites.
Hosted by QBE's Shaun Standfield, General Manager Australian Intermediaries, the Victorian and South Australian eQuip Annual Program Dinners were held in October to celebrate the successful completion of the formal learning component of the program for this year's participants, and to officially welcome the Class of 2012.
Over the coming year, this class will complete three modules – Leadership, Insurance Acumen and Sales & Relationship Management – believed by QBE to be the competencies that will help drive ongoing, mutual business success.
Like this year's graduates, they will have then be invited to become a member of the prestigious eQuip Alumni – an opportunity to maintain the industry networks they would have developed upon completion of the 12-month program.
Since its launch in 2007, the eQuip program has provided some 280 participants with the resources and tools to maximise their professional development, and thrive in their roles as the future leaders of the Australian General Insurance industry.
