BROKERS PUNT FOR CHARITY

Insurance professionals are dusting off their football boots and joining in a round-robin competition to raise funds for a children’s charity at the Allianz Stadium on Friday 27 November.

GSA Insurance Brokers are launching Touch of Colour for KidsXpress, an annual fundraising event for the not-for-profit organisation that facilitates an Expressive Therapy program for children that have experienced trauma.

The KidsXpress program gives children the creative and emotional resources needed to work through life’s problems, equipping them with the resilience and self-esteem needed to approach future challenges effectively.

Founded by KidsXpress CEO Margo Ward and GSA CEO Paul Hines, the charity is now in its tenth year.

With 20 insurance companies committing teams to the competition, and a host of former and current NRL players signed up to participate, the event is set to raise as much as $125,000 for the program. More than 300 insurance professionals will be taking part in the event.

Having hosted an annual cricket competition at North Sydney Oval in the past, GSA is looking to re-establish an annual event, this time with greater capacity and reach.

KidsXpress ambassador and ex-NRL Panthers player Frank Puletua has been heavily involved in the organisation of the day, alongside ex-NRL Roosters player Luke Ricketson and GSA Director James Telford.

“We are very proud of our partnership with KidsXpress and it’s great that we can help create such a fantastic event to not only get the industry together but raise vital funds for KidsXpress at the same time,” Telford says.

The stadium will be open to anybody interested in supporting Touch of Colour, and GSA invites everybody to come and enjoy what is set to be a action-packed inaugural event.
