Need a Broker usage continues upward spiral

NIBA’s Need a Broker hotline received 2,542 enquiries in July – the highest ever monthly figures for the service.

This represents a 10% increase on the same month in 2013, and a 100% increase on the same month in 2012.

Meanwhile, the Need a Broker website consistently receives 7000 hits per month.

The figures from the call centre are particularly encouraging as the vast majority lead to direct enquiries to NIBA members.

NIBA CEO Dallas Booth said: “We’re extremely pleased to see that Need a Broker continues to increase its reach and is showing solid and consistent growth. With so many potential opportunities out there for brokers, we urge our members to ensure their details on the system are correct, and the areas they specialise in are accurate to ensure the best experience for users.”

“For many business owners and consumers, the Need a Broker service may represent the first contact point they have had with a broker and everyone has a part to play to ensure that experience is as useful and valuable to them as possible.”

Only NIBA member brokerages with at least one QPIB on staff are eligible to be listed on the Need a Broker site.

Brokers who are authorised representatives of a NIBA member may also be included on the site if they have attained QPIB status.
