AIG celebrates 60 years in Australia

Leading global insurer American International Group (AIG) celebrated sixty years of business in Australia this week.

“We wouldn’t be the organisation we are today without the support of our brokers, clients, business partners and of course, our employees,” said Noel Condon, CEO AIG Australia. “I would like to thank everyone who has supported AIG Australia and our journey over the last six decades. We look forward to a prosperous future in this terrific country.”

AIG started in Australia in 1957 with just five employees in an unfinished building in Melbourne and has since grown to over 400 employees across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, offering a range of commercial and consumer lines insurance products to businesses and consumers.

“I am proud of our business here in Australia, and all that has been achieved over the last sixty years,” said Condon. “We have adapted to the changing environment around us, always restless to innovate and improve. Sixty years has seen the growth of our team, the expansion to four offices, the creation of new products, the introduction of new technology, the incredible response to catastrophes, and so much more.”
