All NIBA Awards finalists now known

All the finalists for the Broker of the Year and Young Professional Broker of the Year awards from the five regions have now been announced and will now go on to compete for the national awards in September.

Broker of the Year finalists:

NSW/ACT: John G Duncan of JMD Ross Insurance Brokers
John G Duncan is a career broker who knows the importance of focusing first on clients’ needs and specialises in casualty classes, including liability, professional
indemnity, and tailored corporate insurance programs.

VIC/TAS: Penelope Collins of CMIB Insurance Services
For more than two decades, Penelope Collins has worked in the insurance industry, and she currently focuses on business development, portfolio management, design, marketing and placement of insurance programs, mentoring of staff, and ensuring shareholders’ requirements are met.

WA: Kim Gilbert of Zenith Insurance Services
Kim Gilbert has more than 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry, where he has been involved in claims management, underwriting and broking for the past 25 years.

QLD: Steven Hill of Capital Innovation Australia Pty Ltd
Steven Hill has more than 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry, where he is recognised by his clients as a standout. Hill is know to ‘go the extra mile’, and as
a result, his clients are intensely loyal.

SA/ NT: Joanne Tutton of Gallagher
Joanne Tutton has worked in the insurance broking industry for nearly 30 years. Tutton has spent the past five year in the Top End, which she says presents unique risk challenges.

Young Professional Broker of the Year finalists:

NSW/ACT: Craig Anderson of Austbrokers ABS
Craig Anderson has had a wide and varied 14 years in the insurance broking industry.

VIC/TAS: Leigh Moulden of Doreen Insurance Solutions Pty Ltd

Leigh Moulden is a professional and dedicated insurance broker with more than 10 year’s experience in the industry.

WA: Marcus Pallotta of Marsh Risk Consulting
Marcus Pallotta commenced his career in the insurance industry in 2014.

QLD: Steven Purser of PSC Gordon Wilson Insurance Brokers
Steven Purser has worked in the insurance industry for more than a decade.

SA/NT: Daniel Webber of Webber Insurance Service Daniel Webber has more than a decade’s experience in the insurance industry.

The national Stephen Ball Memorial Award for Broker of the Year and Warren Tickle Memorial Award for Young Professional Broker of the Year will be chosen from five state winners and announced at NIBA’s national Convention in Hobart on Tuesday 4 September.
