ANZIIF Skills Unit Highlight: Negotiate broking client claims

Learn how to negotiate client claim settlements with insurers by developing the interpersonal, analytical and communication skills required to research and analyse a client’s claim against their insurance policy.

By the end of this unit, brokers will be able to identify and clarify points of difference and crucial issues with a claim, develop a case, and negotiate a claims settlement with the insurer on your client’s behalf. Finally, learn the best way to communicate the terms of settlement to your client and how to update and maintain the required files and records. Aimed at brokers with over four years of experience in big or small businesses, this unit is suitable for interactions with both retail and/or commercial clients.

This unit meets the requirements of AQTF competency ‘FNSIBK512 Negotiate complex claims settlement for insurance broking client’ and is delivered via ANZIIF as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 3596).
