Aon has signed up as a Silver Sponsor of the Brisbane City Football Club (BCFC) for the 2018 season.
Established in 1952, BCFC has a long tradition of supporting players across all age groups for sporting achievements at a local, state and national level. The men’s senior team, coached by former Socceroo and Australian football legend, John Kosmina, play in the 2nd tier of Australian Football, the National Premier Leagues Queensland (NPLQ).
Queensland State Director for Aon, Robert Piunti said: “With Aon being a long term major sponsor of Manchester United FC, the decision to sponsor Brisbane City FC was a natural one for us.
“It’s exciting to partner with the most progressive football club in Brisbane and be part of arguably the fastest growing sport, especially amongst younger people, in Brisbane.
“Brisbane City’s commitment to the community is completely aligned with Aon’s philosophy of empowering results for clients, colleagues and communities. It’s great to be professionally and personally involved.”
The sponsorship will grant Aon with signage presence on the team’s home ground, Corporate Travel Management Stadium and at the club’s Mark Street Training Facility. The Aon logo will also be the front of shirt sponsor of the under 14 National Premier Leagues Queensland side in 2018.
BCFC provides training facilities for over 500 junior players aged between 5 and 16 years old – with NPLQ age group teams, divisional teams playing in the Brisbane competitions and a thriving Academy program, as well as a high quality goal keeper academy – open to all players and hosts holiday clinics throughout the school holidays. They also host over 100 senior players from age 17 upwards to over 35’s teams.
