Innovative broker Parmia Insurance has organised another coup, expanding the reach of its exclusive tattoo parlour cover to property owners.
The Queensland brokerage launched its Industrial Special Risks facility for tattoo parlour operators in May and has now widened its scope to offer Public and Products Liability Policy to the landlords of tattoo parlours.
Parmia Founder and 2013 NIBA Broker of the Year Danny Gumm says although cover is subject to strict criteria, it meant tattoo industry professionals could now gain maximum protection.
“It was about finding a solution for those working in the industry, who were being affected by the many negative stereotypes associated with tattoo and body piercing,” he says.
“In order for their business to survive, they needed someone who was willing to take a chance on them and that is what we’re aiming to do.”
