NSW Workers Compensation Provider, icare has announced that, from early next year, eligible customers will have the choice of multiple Authorised Providers for new claims management services.
The providers include Allianz and GIO beginning to provide services from 1 February 2020 and QBE will commence following the implementation of the icare technology platform by 30 June 2020.
The icare update stated that these Authorised Providers have been selected from the current providers of claims management services to the insurer based on them meeting authorisation requirements.
“The Authorised Provider model will be delivered consistently with the principles of icare’s claims service model. An eligible customer may also choose to negotiate with the Authorised Provider to access services that are tailored to meet their needs, in addition to the core services they receive for the price of the policy. In some instances, access to tailored services may involve a fee to the Authorised Provider.”
Looped In Sessions
icare will be holding Looped In sessions for brokers so you can find out more information and ask questions.
Broker session – Wednesday 11 December 8.30 – 10.30am. RSVP here.
icare has indicated that it will deliver a phased approach to allow for a smooth delivery for eligible customers to nominate and transfer to an Authorised Provider. The announcement also stated that EML will continue to provide claims management services for new claims for all customers who do not nominate an Authorised Provider.
