Aon

Aon has announced Fergus Brooks as Cyber Risk National Practice Leader.

Bringing more than 20 years of private and public sector information and communications technology experience to this role, Brooks will be advising Aon clients on cyber security and privacy, and building understanding of the risk and value of mitigation

Brooks’ prior role was Cybersecurity Advisory Lead at information security specialists Secure Logic.

 

AUB Group

Jo Mason will take over as CEO of AUB-owned NZbrokers on 1 July, succeeding Jim Harris who will remain on the NZbrokers Board.

Mason brings a more than three decades’ experience to the role having worked in leadership positions for Allianz Australia, IAG and NZI throughout her career.

 

NTI

National Transport Insurance (NTI), Australia’s leading heavy motor insurance specialist, is excited to announce the appointment of Peter Marchant as the new State Manager, Western Australia.

Marchant has a strong track record in leading teams to achieve sales and service targets, most recently as a successful Branch Manager for Arthur J Gallagher. He also has experience as a Business Development Principal for Marsh and has led various teams for Suncorp.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome Peter to the NTI team,” said Mike Edmonds, General Manager – Sales & Distribution.

“NTI is committed to providing local delivery and expertise to the market to ensure we maintain our leadership position.  The appointment of Peter supports this commitment and is one which we are very excited about.”

Marchant will commence his new role on Monday 18 April.

 

Regis Mutual Management

Regis Mutual Management has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer for its Australian operations, alongside two new members of its board of directors.

Former chief operating officer of the global player, Gerald Ewing, has taken on the CEO role and will head up the Sydney officer as the company continues its growth both in the UK and in Australia.

The business has also appointed two new board members with Lach McKeough, the former CEO of Austbrokers, as an independent director, and Jodie Nicholls, company secretary of Regis as a director.

 

Zurich

Zurich Australian Insurance Limited has announced the appointment of Stuart Farquharson as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

This appointment follows the promotion of Rajbir Nanra to the role of Chief Executive Officer, General Insurance, Australia & New Zealand from the role of CFO.

Farquharson joins from AIG where he was the CFO for Australia for over 6 years. More recently he also had regional responsibility for South Asia, Greater China and Australasia. Prior to AIG, he held a number of senior roles including CFO with Citibank Australia, Manchester Unity Australia and Hollard Insurance Australia.

Nanra said: “Stuart is joining us at an extremely exciting time as we implement our focused strategy. As well as his industry experience Stuart brings a strong track record of strategic and commercial leadership.”

Farquharson will start with Zurich on 11 July and will be based in Sydney.
