Lloyd’s appoints former French bank governor to Council

Christian Noyer has been appointed Non-Executive Director of Lloyd’s Council, and independent Non-Executive Director of Lloyd’s Brussels board with effect from 2 November. Noyer has been Honorary Governor of the Bank of France since 2015 following a ten year period as a Governor. He’s also a member of the French Fiscal Council, and advisor to the French Government on issues related to Brexit.

During his forty year career within international public finance, Christian held several high-profile positions including Vice-President of the European Central Bank, from when the institution was set up in 1998 to 2002, and President of the Bank for International Settlements between 2010 and 2015. He worked for the French Treasury for over 20 years and was appointed Director of the Treasury in 1993.

Underwriting executive appointed to industry body board

CHU’s Chief Customer Officer Anne-Maree Paull has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the NSW Board of the Strata Community Association (SCA), the peak industry organisation for body corporate and community title management. She has been with CHU for six years, previously as State Manager for NSW and ACT.

Membership of SCA includes body corporate managers, support staff, committee members and suppliers of products and services to the industry.

SCA NSW President Chris Duggan welcomed the election of Paull. “The SCA believes the injection of new, experienced and qualified directors to the Board provides access to a diverse skill set and membership perspective.”

CHU CEO Bobby Lehane added, “CHU is a long standing sponsor of the SCA across Australia and Anne-Maree has worked extensively to support it.

“Anne-Maree has strong relationships with strata manager, strata services/suppliers and broker networks, and her appointment to the board will undoubtedly be valuable.” Lehane said.

For the past 12 months Ms Paull has been an alternate director in the Strata Services Chapter of the SCA, a member of the Policy and Legislative Committee, as well as the Events Committee for SCA NSW. Since January, she been a member of SCA National Events Committee.
