Insurer beefs up travel security

The world is becoming a more dangerous place and one insurer has reacted by boosting security services for business travellers.

ACE’s new business travel policy has been shaped by feedback from brokers that business travel requirements are changing.

The new policy offers unlimited loss of deposits and cancellation cover, as well as dropping the previous general age exclusion.

ACE has also partnered with crisis management company red24 to provide policyholders with security services, including ground support and evacuation in the event of civil unrest, political instability, natural disasters or a terrorist attack.

Policyholders will also be able to download an app that provides them with travel advice, country intelligence, daily news and travel alerts.

ACE Australia and New Zealand President John French says: “ACE’s new Business Travel Insurance policy is an innovative response to this market demand, with a range of coverage enhancements and additional benefits that will ensure our clients and their employees are well looked after in the event of a mishap.”
