Insurer launches SME-focused travel cover

SME businesses are in focus for Zurich’s newest travel insurance product.

The Business Travel cover is available on the insurer’s Z.streamXpress platform, allowing brokers to add to it any Business Insurance package or take it out as a stand-alone policy, as well as providing real-time travel documentation for instant cover.

SME Xpress Underwriting Centre Head Michelle Hay says the new product built on Zurich’s Corporate Travel policy.

“We have been able to use it as a basis to tailor an offering which targets just about any business where travelling either domestically or overseas is necessary, with a focus on the SME customer,” she says.

“Our electronic solution is unique in that it allows businesses to extend the pure leisure travel cover to other insured persons – at the touch of a button.

“This saves those who are covered under the policy the expense and inconvenience of taking out further individual retail travel policies at different times throughout the year depending on their nominated travelling companies.”

The cover includes round-the-clock support, unlimited overseas medical expenses, personal accident and sickness, vehicle excess waiver, political and natural disaster evacuation, lost, stolen or damaged baggage, and loss of deposit and cancellation and curtailment expenses.
