It’s an incredibly interesting time to be an insurance broker, the world is going through a metamorphosis and risk management professionals are right at the centre of it.
The current hard market, political uncertainty, climate change, significant technological developments and regulatory changes, create a challenging setting for brokers to operate in.
Amid all of this, there is one event where brokers can access all the tools they need to thrive in this environment. The NIBA Convention is the insurance broking industry event of the year. Brokers from all areas come together, regardless of cluster group allegiances, brokerage size and reach, and age of delegates.
This year the theme is One Voice – Together Towards Tomorrow, because now more than ever before, we must work together. Brokers need to focus on the common purpose and present a united front as the industry prepares for the post Royal Commission review scheduled in the next couple of years.
It has never been more important for brokers to understand developments, work through challenges, and find the best way to respond to this changing landscape and demonstrate the role and value of intermediaries to the wider community.
The 2019 NIBA Convention will be held on the Gold Coast between the 14-15 October at the Star Event Centre. Delegates will have the opportunity to hear from experts on a host of topics while maximising their CPD points, with up to 16 on offer for attendance over the two days.
Whether you’re an account manager, director, principal or a young professional, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, share, discuss and celebrate with your industry colleagues and our key supporters.
Delegates can expect to leave the Convention with a number of practical tools and will have the opportunity to hear from a number of industry experts including AFCA’ s Chief Ombudsman and CEO, David Locke. The event features a stellar line-up of speakers including Kurt Fearnley, one of the country’s most respected athletes. To read about our latest speaker additions and for the full-program that will be released this Friday visit the NIBA Convention website.
The expo hall will offer a chance to mingle and network amidst a program of entertaining and captivating thought leaders – with unmissable opening and closing plenaries.
We will also recognise our national individual awards – Broker of the Year, Young Professional Broker of the Year and NIBA General Insurer of the Year.
As in the past, the pricing has been kept competitive, with full super early bird rates starting at $1030 for NIBA members. Registrations will open this Friday.
See you on the Gold Coast!
