Insurance provider AIG has cemented its reputation as a market leader in service standards by taking out the 2013 Australian Business Award for Service Excellence.
The award aims to highlight the efforts of organisations that have demonstrated a commitment to excellence that stands out amongst a dynamic field of Australia’s elite.
The introduction of a Claims Account Relationship Manager (CARM) clinched the award for the leading insurer.
The role emerged in recognition of the communication disconnect between clients and insurers in the period between claims. The CARM’s objective is to act as a constant liaison between the client and broker throughout the entire policy lifecycle, enhancing communications and transparency for all parties.
AIG CEO Noel Condon says: “Winning the 2013 Australian Business Award for service excellence really demonstrates the terrific work of our Claims team and we are truly honoured to have received it.”
This award is the latest in a string of accolades scooped up by the organisation. Last month AIG was announced as a finalist for the Australian Insurance Industry Awards Innovation of the Year gong, for their cyber liability solution CyberEdge.
AIG also won the In-House Team of the Year Award at the ALB Australasia Law Awards for its claims team last month.
