Specialist sport and leisure insurer Sportscover has introduced a new risk management and communication tool for sports teams, clubs and associations, known as Sportscover Vital.
Sportscover Vital has an app interface, which automatically keeps medical and emergency details up to date for sports clubs and associations who have a duty of care to their members. These details are instantly available to authorised individuals, including coaches, managers and trainers, on their mobile devices so that in the event of an emergency they will know how to respond and what to tell medical staff regarding the medical history of the injured player.
Sportscover Vital also automates the collection of other custom team information and provides instant communication with team members when arranging team training and other activities such as interstate tours or social events.
David Lamb, Sportscover Australia’s CEO said: “The response from sports associations that we have spoken to so far is phenomenal. It’s clear from the conversations they had with us in the development stage that they feel that this will bring tremendous benefits in the management of teams at all levels and will greatly assist them to administer their duty of care to their members.”
Sportscover Vital is initially being offered to sports associations, leagues and teams in Australia, the UK, Ireland and New Zealand. More information on the service can be found here.
