The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has revealed the South Australia/Northern Territory and Western Australia region finalists for the Young Professional Broker of the Year award.
NIBA CEO Dallas Booth congratulated finalists for South Australia/Northern Territory and Western Australia regions, adding: “These finalists exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and competence in the broking industry and we’re thrilled to acknowledge their outstanding contribution.”
The Young Professional Broker of the Year award, sponsored by Vero, recognises the broking industry’s rising stars under the age of 35.
This year, there are three regional finalists for the South Australia/Northern Territory Young Professional Broker of the Year: Shannan Gardner of Steadfast Brecknock Insurance Brokers, Daniel Webber of Webber Insurances Services and Joseph Cuzzocrea of Maxton.
Jim Cocks, State Manager SA/NT, Vero said: “We are proud to support the next generation of industry leading insurance brokers through our longstanding association with NIBA’s Young Professionals and the Warren Tickle Memorial Award.”
Cuzzocrea said he was honoured to be a part of this group of finalists, “I believe in providing one-of-a-kind service to our clients and going beyond expectation, being a finalist has given me more confidence that I am on the right path. The NIBA awards go a long way in making a tremendous difference to young professionals and our careers.”
Gardner’s first reaction to the news was surprise, she said: “I felt proud to be acknowledged as one of the top candidates for SA. This nomination means a lot for me professionally as I feel it shows my dedication and hard work within the industry.”
Webber gave credit to his entire team, “Whilst it is an individual recognition, it could not be achieved without the support of everyone at Webber Insurance Services. It means a huge amount to receive this recognition and makes all the stress and long hours worthwhile.”
This year in Western Australia, four Young Professional Broker of the Year finalists were named: Marcus Pallotta of Marsh, Candice Pratt of Centrewest, Tanushree Arora-Sopori of Imperium Insurance & Financial Solutions and Jonathan Ross of Aviso WA Insurance Brokers.
Andrew Walker, State Manager WA, Vero said: “These four finalists are the reason that Vero has been a proud supporter of NIBA’s Young Professionals and the Warren Tickle Memorial Award for more than two decades.”
Pallotta was humbled on being named a finalist for the award, “Professionally, this award will enable me to continue contributing to the broader broking community, as well as furthering my own personal development.”
Pratt said she is honoured and grateful to have her hard work and commitment recognised by industry leaders, “To be nominated is the highlight of my career so far. I believe in continual professional as well as personal development and this journey has been a rewarding experience.”
Arora-Sopori was thrilled at the news, “Professionally this nomination holds a special importance in my life as I want to combine the good old personal touch with technology and innovation to do good for my clients as well as the industry.”
Ross describes being named a finalist for the WA Young Professional Broker of the Year Award as a huge honour, “I am extremely humbled to be a part of an industry that empowers and rewards young professionals and I am grateful to those who have invested their time and effort in my development.”
