One of Australia’s most successful young brokers has authored a new book aimed at giving new brokers the tools to succeed.
Gemma Gould, from MGA Insurance Brokers in Sydney, recently launched BreakThru Brokin – Unleash the Broker within: BreakThru strategies for building a successful Insurance Broking Career, aimed at being a lively guide to YPs just starting out in broking.
Gould, who at the age of 31 is the youngest QPIB Fellow in Australia, as well as being a member of NIBA’s National Education Committee, has harboured long-time ambitions to publish a book on broking, but was finally convinced to fulfil her wish by her mentor when she went through the NIBA mentoring program in 2013.
“BreakThru Brokin was born out of a desire to share my knowledge and provide a fresh perspective for the next generation of insurance brokers,” Gould says.
“It’s certainly not your average broking resource, and is written in a way designed to appeal to a young readership.
“It promotes laughter and learning, and there are some serious issues covered in an accessible format. I hope people will find it’s a useful resource for brokers starting out in the industry.”
