A leading WA broker has shaken up its leadership team, appointing a senior NIBA figure as the new Managing Director of Operations.
NIBA WA Divisional Committee Chairman Ward Dedman has been appointed EBM Insurance Brokers role as the company names a new leadership team to take over from retiring Managing Director Jeff Adams.
Dedman is joined by Steve Sparkes as Managing Director (Broking), and Ryan Cameron as WA State Manager. Sharon Fox-Slater is to remain Executive General Manager at the head of the company’s major landlord insurance division RentCover.
Adams will step down at the end of the year after almost 30 years on the job, but will continue to serve on the board as a Nonexecutive Director and Executive Consultant to the business.
EBM founder and Executive Chairman Alan Bishop says careful succession planning over several years has laid the groundwork for the company, which employs 200 staff in nine offices around the country.
“Risk management is becoming more complex and the world of insurance is changing dramatically, but EBM has strong foundations,” he says. “I am confident that our new leadership team will continue EBM’s tradition of integrity and outstanding service and continue to grow and improve our business.”
The leadership changeover takes place on the eve of EBM’s 40th anniversary in 2015.
