New owner prompts premium funder rebranding

After 25 years, a well-known premium funder in Australia and New Zealand has rebranded.

As of today, Lumley Finance will now be known as Elantis Premium Funding as a result of Arthur J. Gallagher and Co acquiring the broking and premium funding operations of Wesfarmers.

This means under the new owner the New Zealand branch will join Australian operations to become one entity under Elantis.  (LINK)

Jurgen Rammesmayer, Elantis Premium Funding Chief Executive, says the decision to rebrand was also needed so customers could align innovation in insurance with their new name.

“The name ‘Elantis’ is derived from the French word elan, meaning energy, style, and enthusiasm – exactly the values our business embodies,” he says.

“One thing that won’t be changing is our independence from broking operations and our focus on building rewarding relationships with our broker clients.”

The rebranding comes after strong business growth for the insurer over the past four years with a 50% increase in the number of Business Development Managers servicing brokers and an 80% growth in financed premiums.
