NIBA names finalists for QLD Broker of the Year Award

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has revealed the Queensland region Broker of the Year finalists – Steven Hill from Capital Innovation Australia Pty Ltd and Glen Ryan from Austcover.

The Broker of the Year Award, sponsored by QBE, goes to an individual broker who is deemed an inspirational role model for the broking community.

QBE Regional Manager for Queensland Craig Mauger, said QBE was proud to work with NIBA and recognise intermediaries in the industry through the Stephen Ball Memorial Award.

“Congratulations to Steven and Glen on being named finalists amongst the high standard of entries. QBE is thrilled to continue supporting the development of our broker partners as we work together to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.”

NIBA CEO Dallas Booth congratulated the two finalists for Queensland, adding: “We are delighted to recognise Steven and Glen who have both demonstrated excellence in broking practice.”

Hill was surprised when he learnt of his nomination as a finalist, “It certainly will help improve my profile professionally and will see me continue to promote what we do at every opportunity.”

Ryan was humbled and honoured to be selected for the award, “What a privilege to be named a state finalist – even my children are thrilled and proud! Delivering great service and advice is key to being a great broker.”

The Queensland region winner will be announced at the NIBA QLD Gala Lunch on July 18 at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane.

The state winner will go on to compete for the Stephen Ball Memorial Award for Insurance Broker of the Year, which will be announced at the 2018 NIBA Convention in Hobart, Tasmania – visit nibaconvention.com.au  for more information.
