The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has revealed the South Australia/Northern Territory Broker of the Year finalists – Max Cuzzocrea of Maxton, Luke Bettany of Butler and Butler, and Kevin Loader of AJG.
The Broker of the Year Award, sponsored by QBE, goes to an individual broker who is deemed an inspirational role model for the broking community.
QBE State Distribution Manager SA, Commercial Lines, Kathy Gray congratulated this year’s finalists and said, “There’s no shortage of talented brokers across the region, so being named a finalist is a truly outstanding achievement.”
“Our finalists Max, Kevin and Luke have clearly demonstrated an admirable commitment to professional excellence, client advocacy, customer service and the development of not only themselves – but their teams and the broking community in their regions.”
“Our broker partners are vital to our success at QBE, which is why we’re so proud to partner with NIBA to recognise the best brokers in the business at a regional level and nationally via the Stephen Ball Memorial Award for Insurance Broker of the Year.”
NIBA CEO Dallas Booth congratulated the three finalists for South Australia/ Northern Territory, adding: “We are delighted to recognise Max, Kevin and Luke who have all demonstrated professional excellence in broking practice.”
Cuzzocrea expressing excitement and gratitude said, “Being named a finalist for the Broker of the Year award is a great thrill and honour for me, some of my family members are also in the business so they see it as a great way to recognise the hard work and commitment that goes into running a successful brokerage.”
Bettany was surprised at being nominated for the award, “This is not something I was ever expecting so knowing that someone out there took the time to nominate me because they believe I am deserving is incredibly humbling. This acknowledgment is the culmination of years of long hours and hard work and will further continue to motivate me to continually improve, aim higher and strive to be the best broker I can be.”
On finding out he was a finalist, Loader said: “I feel privileged to have been nominated for this prestigious award and to be recognised for the work that I do and the continued dedication that I have for my clients and employer. After 47 years in the broking profession, I felt honoured to hear that I had been selected as a finalist because it means significant recognition of the work that I have done over many years in the insurance profession.”
The SA/NT region winners will be announced at the NIBA SA Gala Lunch on July 26 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
