Nominations invited to celebrate high performing broking professionals

It’s that time of the year again –  when the search begins for brilliant brokers who deserve to be celebrated. The peak representative body for insurance brokers is inviting nominations for the QBE-sponsored NIBA Broker of the Year and the Vero-sponsored NIBA Young Professional Broker of the Year.

Leading industry figures have encouraged insurers as well as brokers to put forward names of intermediaries who have shown exemplary professionalism.

NIBA CEO Dallas Booth described these awards as the insurance broking industry’s way of celebrating professional excellence. He said, “The process takes months and involves nominations that come directly from the industry as well as a rigorous judging procedure that culminates in recognising the very best the profession has to offer.

“I encourage you all to put forward names of brokers who are doing a tremendous job looking after the needs of their clients. NIBA is pleased to have the ongoing support of QBE and Vero as our sponsors for this esteemed industry recognition for brokers.”

NIBA’s broker awards represent the pinnacle of achievement for the best in broking at both state and national level.

Jason Clarke, Chief Customer Officer, Commercial Lines, Australia Pacific at QBE Insurance said, “Together with our long-time partner NIBA, QBE is pleased to invite nominations for the 2020 Broker of the Year Awards. The awards celebrate the best in broking at a state and national level, and honour industry great Stephen Ball.

“We once again encourage the industry to nominate professionals who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to client advocacy, technical excellence, customer service and personal development. We’re proud to support the awards as part of our commitment to our broker partners – who are fundamental to our success here at QBE.”

Anyone in the insurance industry can nominate a broker. This is your opportunity to recognise and reward someone who makes you proud to be working in the insurance broking profession and who you believe makes our industry a better place to work.

Andrew Mair, Executive General Manager Intermediaries at Vero said, “We at Vero are pleased to announce nominations for the 2020 Young Professional Broker of the Year and Warren Tickle Memorial Award are open.

“We are looking for the next generation of broking leaders who display a strong commitment to their professional and personal development, and are great contributors to their community and the broader industry.”

The two key industry awards accepting nominations are: the QBE-sponsored Stephen Ball Memorial Award for Insurance Broker of the Year Award for senior brokers and the Vero-sponsored Young Professional Broker of the Year Award for the profession’s rising stars.
