The Northern Territory Government is focusing on building safer work places with a six-month independent review of the Territory regulator, NT Worksafe.
As part of this undertaking, the independent reviewer has drafted a discussion paper to seek public feedback and input into the review. Attorney General, Natasha Fyles, said it’s important to ensure the regulator has the best possible operating model to protect Territory workers and support business.
“This six month review of NT Worksafe will look at the policies, procedures and activities in place and consider how best practices can be implemented to support staff and stakeholders.” Consultant Tim Lyons has been commissioned to carry out the six month review and will work closely with an approved reference group comprising industry, union and government nominees.
The final report is due later this year. You can read our previous story about this topic here.
