OAMPS has made good on its promise last year to ramp up its acquisitions, announcing the purchase of a specialist broker.
TCIS Insurance Brokers specialises in transport industry services, as well as recreational four-wheel driving and historic motoring clubs.
OAMPS flagged a more aggressive acquisition strategy late last year, when it appointed Sarah Lyons to head its commercial broking operations, in part because of her experience facilitating acquisitions in the UK.
OAMPS Chief Executive Mike Cutter says: “rather than pursuing growth for growth’s sake, we strongly believe in acquiring businesses with the right cultural and strategic fit.
“This means that we are interested in businesses that are experts in industry sectors that complement our existing capabilities, or align with our desire to expand our geographic footprint.”
TCIS has offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. They will each remain unchanged except for the Adelaide office, which will be absorbed into the OAMPS SA office.
TCIS Director Ken Bradley says the decision to join OAMPS was driven by a desire to secure the long-term future of TCIS’ clients and staff.
“OAMPS was the obvious and best choice due to their national footprint, aligned values, expertise and most importantly their commitment to clients,” he says.
