NIBA member and Queensland broker has won the inaugural Resilium Insurance Broking Practice of the Year.
Cori-Leigh Shepherdson director and general insurance manager at GSG Insurance Services was early this week presented with the award for a top performing Resilium Insurance Broking Practice.
“Winning the award was, firstly, a great testament to the hard work we have put in over the past two years as a team,” says Shepherdson. “We set ourselves a challenge and rose to that challenge. It’s brilliant now to not only see the growth from this hard work, but also to get this recognition within our Industry.”
She adds that the business was built as a family-owned business and grew from its connections with clients.
“I have always felt that is something that we do really well. Add to that the fact that we have really cultivated a motivated, organised and social working environment, so everyone enjoys coming to work and challenging themselves … that really shows in our dealings with our clients, how we continually set benchmarks in our aim to grow and rise to the demands that are typical within the broking industry,” Shepherdson says.
In handing out the award, Adrian Kitchin, managing director of Resilium, said: “Insurance advisers have to build a reputation for providing quality, expert advice to their customers in order for their businesses to succeed.
“All the winners of this year’s Resilium awards have demonstrated how to create a thriving business on the back of excellent service and advice, and strong relationships with their customers.”
Also winning an award was Joe Carrigan of Reflective Insurance Services who walked away with the Fire Helmet Award, which recognises the practice that achieves the highest premium growth over the 2015/2016 financial year.
