Women in insurance can now apply for grant funding to aid their leadership training, with a selection of prestigious scholarships opened up to women in the finance sector.
Women & Leadership Australia (WLA) is directing a national grant initiative to back the progression of female leaders across all sectors, with scholarships for programs offered in two categories to women in finance.
Executive level female leaders can apply for an individual grant of $12,000 to part-fund their participation in the 12-month Advances Leadership Program.
Female managers are also invited to apply for an individual grant of $4,500 to part-fund their participation in the 18-week Accelerated Leadership Performance Program.
The programs, facilitated by the Australian School of Applied Management, focus on self-belief, professional agility and the real-world application of practical knowledge.
The initiative aims to improve the current shortage of female leadership within the financial sector by offering developmental support to potential female leaders.
Individuals interested in applying for grant funding can access forms on the Women & Leadership Australia website.
