The insurance industry came together to celebrate the life of NTI’s former CEO, Wayne Patterson, on Tuesday 16th October in Southport, Queensland.
Patterson passed away on Tuesday, 9 October, 2018 after a battle with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). His journey with MND was widely known due to his unrelenting drive to increase community awareness of the disease, while raising much needed funds in the search for a cure. His connections with the broader business, insurance, transport and logistics industries were vast and he valued the support he received from these communities.
Following his diagnosis with MND in 2015, Mr Patterson created the character “Fat Rabbit” to raise funds for the MND and Me Foundation.
