ACE

Lesley Jacques has been promoted to ACE Group’s new Australia and New Zealand Head of Accident and Health. Jacques is currently ACE’s Vice President Underwriting and Strategic Business Development for the same line in Canada.

ACE Australia and New Zealand President John French says Jacques, who will relocated to Sydney in the coming weeks, has an impressive record of success in Canada.

“It was important for us to appoint an individual who is capable of taking our accident and health business to new levels of growth and portfolio management while ensuring consistently high levels of service to our partners.”

AIMS

The AIMS Board has announced the appointment of Glenn Shultz to the role of General Manager, taking the reigns from Martin McAvenna, as of 1 July.

Mark Searles, AIMS Board Chairman and Austbrokers CEO welcomed Schultz into the role, saying: “We look forward to working with Glenn to build on Martin’s strong foundations.”

Schultz is transitioning from his role as Executive General Manager at Quanta Insurance Group. He brings with him extensive experience in insurance broking through senior positions held at AON, JLT, Sedgwick and John C Lloyd Reinsurance.

Schultz expressed his enthusiasm for joining AIMS, saying: “I am thrilled to have been asked to take over the mantle from Martin in leading AIMS.

“AIMS is the leading broker member group in Australia and I look forward to working with both the Austbrokers network and IBNA broker partners in taking the group forward.”

 

Austbrokers Canberra

Austbrokers Canberra has announced the promotion of three employees to the role of Account Director: Gloria Graham, Christine Miliano and Helen Bullock.

The trio will develop their portfolios and specialist knowledge areas in order to further cultivate the expert services offered by Austbrokers Canberra for a range of niche industries.

 

Brokerslink

Following its transformation from non-for-profit association to for-profit global broking company, Brokerslink has restructured its Board of Directors in an effort to drive growth and revenue generation.

Jamie Crystal, Vice President of Crystal & Company, has assumed the role of Chairman, while Gregory Allard, Executive Vice President of Filhet Allard, has been appointed Deputy Chairman.

Shaun Hooper, Chief Executive Officer International of Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford, is a new addition to the Board, replacing Steve Jackson, who will be focusing on Brokerslink’s business development as Regional Directors America.

Jose Manuel Fonseca, Chief Executive Officer of MDS Group, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Brokerslink, having previously occupied the role of Chairman, heightening his managerial involvement within the company.

 

Solution Underwriting Agency

Glenn Eason has joined Solution Underwriting Agency in the position of Liability Underwriter, bringing 30 years of insurance industry experience with him to the company.

Managing Director Rhys Mills says: “He has spent the last 15 years specialising in placing difficult and complex liability risks into underwriters at Lloyd’s.

“Glenn has developed an excellent reputation in this area, not only for his technical abilities but also for his service delivery. Solution Underwriting are very excited to have him on board.”
