There has been plenty of movement in the insurance industry over the past month. See below for a few of the key appointments.



Construction underwriters ATC Insurance Solutions have announced the opening of new offices in Sydney and Brisbane.

Joining them in the Sydney office is Steve Duong as ATC’s NSW Manager of Construction and Plant, while Shannon Fullen andKimberley Briggs join Brisbane’s construction underwriting team.

ATC CEO Chris Anderson says the three new members bring great experience to the table.

“All three have significant expertise and experience within the construction and engineering and plant and machinery insurance segments and their appointments add significant depth and capability to our underwriting capacity,” he says.


Cooper Gay

Charles Gibbs has been appointed as Managing Director of the Marine and Aerospace Division at Cooper Gay.

Formerly of Marsh, Gibbs will manage Cooper Gay’s marine hull business.

Cooper Gay CEO Gordon Newman says he is delighted at the appointment.

“Cooper Gay is well known in the London and global markets for its marine insurance abilities which have been additionally enhanced by CGSC’s recent acquisition of NMB,” he says.

“I am delighted that Charles has joined our excellent combined team to support our ambitious plans for the future while we continue to deliver market leading service to our clients.”


Cunningham Lindsey Group

Cunningham Lindsey have announced the appointment of Dr. Richard Ward as Executive Chairman of the Board and Jane Tutoki as Chief Executive Officer, as of 9 June.

Ward served eight years as CEO at Lloyd’s of London and is the current Chairman of Brit PLC.

Tutoki worked at Zurich from 2002 to 2010 and joins Cunningham Lindsey from AIG Property and Casualty, where she served as Global Head of Claims Operations since 2012.

Kamil Salame, current Board Chairman, says the appointments a step forward.

“We are delighted to welcome Richard and Jane to Cunningham Lindsey,” she says.

“Their arrival is an endorsement of the strength and uniquely global breadth of the Cunningham Lindsey franchise, and we are confident their vast industry experience will position us for further growth.”



Prue Willsford and Paul Munton have joined the board for the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) as directors.

Willsford is the Institute CEO and Munton is the General Manager of Broker Products at Lumley General Insurance New Zealand.

Meanwhile, the long service to the industry of Allan Reynolds from Steadfast was recognised with an Honorary Life Membership.

Cheryl Richardson, Senior Vice President of Marsh, was given the Service award and Don Mckenzie won the EE Vines Memorial prize.
