ACE

ACE has appointed Rachelle Lanham as the Surety Manager of Australia and New Zealand.

Lanham has 13 years experience in surety and in her previous role she was responsible for a portfolio of surety clients from the engineering and construction sectors.

ACE Australia and New Zealand President John French says: “I am delighted that Rachelle has decided to join our team.”

Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford

Roanne Gibbs has been appointed as the Director of Human Resource in Europe Middle East and Asia at CGSC, a global leader in wholesale and reinsurance broking.

Gibbs has worked at CGSC London for the last 10 years andl be in charge of enhancing the HR platform across all of CGSC offices outside of the Americas.

CEO CGSC Group Toby Esser says the appointment comes as a reward for Gibbs’ commitment.

“As an acquisitive business one of the challenges we face is integrating each new business that comes under the CGSC umbrella. It is our people who make our business and a first class HR function absolutely key to our strategy of acquisition, integration and development,” he says.

Zurich

This week, Zurich have announced a focus on the global corporate sector, further expanding in the SME market.

Bobby Lehane will overlook the new Commercial segment as Executive General Manager, with Shaun Feely in the new role of Chief Operating Officer.

Marc Luginbuhl has been appointed the Head of Financial Lines in Australia and New Zealand, joining the team from the Zurich base in Switzerland.

Joining the team from numerous financial line roles in Switzerland, Luginbühl will be leading the next phase of the financial lines strategy in Australia.

General Manager of Underwriting Corporate, Sean Walker, says it is a bonus to be able to use the vast global network Zurich offers to find talent.

“We’re focused on attracting and retaining the best talent at Zurich and I’m delighted we are able to attract highly experienced talent such as Marc who has been with the company since 2002,” he says.

“This appointment is a great opportunity to bring a global perspective and way of doing things to our Australian financial lines business.”
