The Underwriting Agencies Council has developed a downloadable 2016 Member Directory which is available to purchase via UAC’s website.
The directory contains all information on member agencies’ specialisations and their contact details (current at July 2016).
UAC General Manager William Legge said there had been many requests from brokers for a PDF document that enabled them to easily access members, listed according to the specialist classes they write, without needing to rekey details from the website or a hard copy directory.
The Member Directory also marks UAC’s entry into ecommerce – the directory is UAC’s first product available for purchase only via UAC’s website, www.uac.org.au. It is accessed from the Purchase drop-down menu on the home page.
Mr Legge said: “The Member Directory gives brokers another option of how to identify agencies that can write their clients’ specialist risks.”
The Member Directory is available for only $A50 (including GST). Mr Legge said the modest price was to cover UAC’s costs of production.
“We’ve received many requests from brokers for an easy way to access member information that’s available on the website but separated into specialisations. The Australian-domiciled and New Zealand-domiciled members are in separate sections of the directory, again to make life easier for brokers,” he said.
