The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) is very saddened to record the passing of Frank Hoffmann on Monday, 4th February, aged 84, after a short illness.
He is survived by his wife Jennie, three children and five grandchildren. NIBA CEO, Dallas Booth said, “I knew Frank for many years, primarily through our membership of the Australian Insurance Law Association, but also in a number of other capacities.”
“I had the highest regard for his knowledge of insurance and insurance law, and his commitment to the highest levels of professionalism at all times. On behalf of NIBA I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Frank’s family.”
Hoffmann was one of the three key people responsible for organising the formation of Australian Insurance Law Association in 1983 and was appointed to the Insurance Enquiries and Complaints (IEC) Claims Review Panel in 2000.
He was honoured by NIBA with the Lex McKeown Trophy in 1999 for providing outstanding service to the Association and a significant contribution to the insurance broking profession.
