More than 100 brokers and their clients attended the prestigious RM Advancer award gala ceremony hosted by Vero.
Australian retailer The Reject Shop accepted the major award in the Workers Compensation and Liability category. Their efforts in improving risk management and reducing injuries across their 300+ national stores clearly impressed the judges.
Other major winners wereMind Australia – who took out the Small and Medium Enterprise category award. Their business risk management approach has achieved remarkable outcomes which include no driving related serious injuries or deaths of Mind employees or clients over the last 10 years.
Also recognised for the third time in seven years was UnitingCare Queensland who took out the major award in the Commercial category. They lead the way in fleet risk management and safety, are well respected across all sectors and are members of the National Road Safety Partnership Program, who were also in attendance at the awards.
Vero congratulated all winners and finalists, along with their brokers, for their high-quality submissions and thanked them for their focus on risk management.
This thirteenth edition of the awards demonstrates Australian industry’s increasing awareness of the benefits of efficient risk engineering and the rewards that can accrue from its application across industries of all sizes. Our winners not only receive the recognition of their peers and industry-wide publicity – they also receive 200,000 Velocity frequent flyer points.
These awards were established in 2005 to reward and promote the best risk management achievements of Vero customers during the previous 12 months.
