The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has revealed the West Australian Young Professional Broker of the Year region finalists:
- Jordyn Gilbert – Zenith Insurance Services
- Luke Juniper – Knightcorp Insurance Brokers
- Jono Ross – Aviso WA Insurance Brokers
The Young Professional Broker of the Year Award, sponsored by Vero, recognises the broking industry’s rising stars under the age of 35.
Andrew Walker, State Manager for Western Australia, Vero, said: “Vero is proud to support the next generation of industry leading insurance brokers and its longstanding association with NIBA’s Young Professionals and the Warren Tickle Memorial Award.”
NIBA CEO Dallas Booth congratulated the Western Australia region finalists, adding: “We received a significant number of nominations this year, all of which were of an extremely high calibre. We’re thrilled to acknowledge Jordyn, Luke and Jono for their outstanding contribution to the broking profession.”
Gilbert’s initial reaction was complete shock, “For me, this nomination is extremely humbling. It has made me reflect on where I have come from and how fortunate I am to be in the position I am today. I have been very lucky to have some incredible mentors throughout my career to date, and this nomination is an acknowledgment to not only myself but also to them.”
Juniper said just being nominated was a great compliment, but being named a finalist is a huge privilege, ” I would consider it to be a career highlight and it will remain a great reminder of what can be achieved with passion, hard work and genuine relationships. The guidance, knowledge and friendship at Knightcorp has helped me develop my skills, confidence and industry knowledge, making me the broker I am today, this nomination is equally theirs as it is mine.”
Ross believes that being named a finalist in the NIBA Awards is a great honour, ” I am extremely humbled to be a part of an industry that empowers and rewards young professionals and I am grateful to those who have invested their time and effort into my development. This nomination means a lot to me as it recognises the professional development that’s been put in and gives me confidence to continue my journey.”
