WorkCover WA officers will be visiting Albany, Denmark and Mount Barker (Great Southern) from 19 to 22 February 2019. Compliance checks will be performed on businesses in the area to ensure workers’ compensation insurance policies are up-to-date. Officers will also be providing education regarding workers’ compensation and distributing educational material.
We are seeking your assistance to help notify your clients about our upcoming visit, and notify them that their Certificate of Currency needs to be up-to-date and ready to produce. If clients require further information about workers’ compensation, they can access our online educational videos at www.workcover.wa.gov.au/resources/educationalvideos, contact WorkCover WA’s Advice and Assistance line on 1300 794 744 or read Workers’ compensation essentials – Employer fact sheet.
In response to the visit, insurance brokers operating in the area may receive requests from clients for their workers’ compensation Certificates of Currency and placement of new policies.
WorkCover WA welcomes the opportunity to meet and answer any questions in relation to workers’ compensation. If you would like to meet with WorkCover WA or arrange a presentation, please email Lauren Fonceca, A/Manager Communications and Education at firstname.lastname@example.org
